The role of the ‘Quantitative Analyst’ is to contribute to data best practices for our industry leading data products.
  • Model development and enhancement – requirement gathering, design, development of new and enhancement of existing quantitative models ensuring that completed deliverables are robust and predictive. All models should be documented, thoroughly tested, auditable and should have appropriate levels of automation. Model process should be best practice and the Analytics team members should be mentored so that these processes are embedded in all future developments.
  • Data Analysis – examination, discovery and interpretation of data assets held within the business and also data sets that may be presented (from clients or suppliers) to the business for review and integration.
  • Data Investigation – research of data assets to understand trends, anomalies, patterns and opportunities for commercial exploitation of data. Reporting and Presentation – Development of reports and presentations which clearly show the impact and effectiveness of a model
Job Description:

  • Data analysis – examination, discovery and interpretation of data assets held within the business and also data sets that may be presented (from clients or suppliers) to the business for review and integration.
  • Data investigation – research of data assets to understand trends, anomalies, patterns and opportunities for commercial exploitation of data.
  • Data evaluation – from time to time the CoreLogic business is presented with opportunities to license or acquire data sets which when combined with existing assets may provide commercial uplift or benefit. It is expected that the role holder will assist in the management of the technical review of these data sets to understand potential value that can be delivered.
  • Reporting and presentation – Development of reports and presentations which clearly show the impact and effectiveness of a model.
  • Driving process improvement – Able to identify area of improvement of existing process and drive process optimisation
  • Working effectively with other teams by understanding their requirements and the role they play in CoreLogic, including:
    • Understand the roles and responsibilities of the Sales Team
    • Understand the roles and responsibilities of the Product Management Team
    • Understand the roles and responsibilities of the Research Team
Job Qualifications:
  • Some background or previous roles in a data-driven business working in database/BI/ analytics teams
  • 2+ years commercial experience, delivering projects to timelines and to external clients
  • 2+ years experience in analytics and working with large databases.
  • Proven record of coding in R. Additional experience with python is a bonus.
  • Exposure or experience working in AWS cloud platform including moving data around the cloud and working in remote computing environments
  • Degree qualified in science, mathematics, computer science, or engineering related discipline
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
